Eva Fogelman

Eva Fogelman is an American psychologist, writer, filmmaker, and a pioneer in the treatment of the psychological effects of the Holocaust on survivors and their descendants. Eva is the daughter of Holocaust survivors, which is how she first got interested in becoming more educated about the subject.
During a long discussion with Dr. Fogelman, she helped gather information regarding the psychology behind forgetting about the Holocaust.
Dr. Fogelman pointed out the fact that my generation is the last generation that will be able to interact with Holocaust survivors face to face. This means that if our generation has children, they will not be able to ever meet Holocaust survivors and hear their terrible stories face to face. Dr. Fogelman then went on to explain that that's why it is so important to make sure that you are educated on the stories and pass them on to your children, to keep it alive for as long as possible.
